Welcome to Friday Favorites! This has been a fun week filled with another 5k race and lots of food. Let’s jump right in! Fun and Food this week.
First, I participated in the IOA Corporate 5k race in Orlando. There were 18,000 runners this year and I am happy to say that my company finished first in all categories of the media division! Yay!
Next up Chad and I had a nice lunch at Seasons 52– one of our favorite restaurants in Orlando. I just love the concept of a revolving menu based on the seasons- I loved my veggie platter!
And anyone who has ever dined at a Seasons 52 also knows that their desserts are the best! Just the right size so you can have a few…..I am excited to be attending an event next week where we will get to try all their new desserts. In the meantime, we enjoyed the tiny Pecan Pie and Chocolate Mocha Pie shot glasses.
This week we also attended a media event for Yard House– a restaurant opening this week on International Drive. It was a lot of fun with lots of great food. My favorites included the Hawaiian Poke Stack and the Seared Ahi Sashimi.
We had lunch at Mellow Mushroom as well and I loved my Broccoli and Tempeh pizza. Who knew that tempeh could taste that delicious?
And have you ever tried the garlic balls there? Hollah!!!
Then we went to Toasted, a local restaurant in Winter Park that serves gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches including Vegan versions like this Fig and Honey. Grilled cheese to me is comfort food no matter how you dress it up! Add a little honey with some fig jam and basil to a gooey grilled cheese sandwich and you have a winner in my book!
We ate out a lot this past week as you can see- now I have to add some more miles to my run. What fun things did you do this past week?
