The Day of Surgery

Well, the time has come. Today is the day of surgery- my foot surgery and here is what I know:

I am getting two screws in my foot to hold it together- I will not be able to walk for 6 weeks and absolutely NO RUNNING for three months. Well that just ruined my target date of running my first post-5K at the end of January. Boo.

So, as this Friday Favorites day rolls around I am grateful for many things- but today I am just going to concentrate of the things that will get me through this next month.

#1) I am hoping that Chad has been brushing up on his kitchen skills as he will be cooking all our meals for at least the next 30 days. I have a feeling we will be eating a lot of rice and veggies- which is fine with me.

#2) Pizza. More specifically pizza delivery- in case the rice and veggies thing doesn’t work out.

#3) Thank goodness for Amazon and their huge selection of books and movies. I’ve been stocking up.

#4) These guys. I put their pictures on here all the time but there is nothing like a little fuzzy buddy to keep me company as I whine on the couch.

Well, guys- wish me luck! Hope everyone has a great weekend and I would love any recommendations for Redbox movies as I will be stocking up on those too!
