J. Christopher’s has been a popular breakfast spot in the Atlanta area since the first outlet opened in 1997. Since then, the operation has expanded to 23 restaurants in the Atlanta, Savannah and Macon, GA metro areas. While normally a chain is not a place Mr. Beet like to visit, we were hungry, it was snowy and J. Christopher’s was close to our hotel. I am glad that we chose to eat here, if we hadn’t we would have missed out on a great breakfast. Besides, we are from Florida where we don’t have a J. Christopher’s nearby.
As I said, it was snowing and snow normally shuts the Atlanta area down. Only a handful of places were open and so we decided to give this place a try. I started with a Skinny Vanilla Latte. Perfect.
For my meal I ordered the Huevos Avocados, a Mexican twist on Eggs Benedict. An English muffin topped with sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese and poached eggs. Served with a side of black beans, it was a delicious and healthy start to the day.
Mr. Beet ordered the Blueberry Crunchcakes – blueberry pancakes with crunchy granola.
And he loved his pancakes as much as I loved my eggs.
The only thing we were not really impressed with was the oven roasted potatoes. They were not seasoned at all and very bland.
J. Christopher’s will be in our rotation from now on when we were in Georgia. 4.5 out of 5 sprouts.
