So here we are- another What I Ate Wednesday. Another P-A-R-T-Y over at Peas and Crayons. Another day of bloggers sharing what they eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Another day for me to reflect on my eating habits- the good, the bad and the delicious!
[breakfast] Scrambled eggs with kale and cherry tomatoes.
[lunch] We headed over to a meeting at Drunken Monkey Coffee Bar near downtown Orlando. I have never been here before but I have heard about all the wonderful Vegan offerings. Wow. I had the Vegan Asparagus Cashew soup and it was possibly one of the best soups I have ever had. Thick, creamy, hearty and healthy.
I also loved the Italian Sausage Party Wrap – Vegan hemp sausage, peppers, onions, potatoes and Vegan Mozzarella. Another big Wow.
And though Drunken Monkey is a coffee house, I opted to try one of the bottled Komucha drinks. This fermented tea beverage was really delicious. Komucha is going to be my new thing.
[snack] After lunch, we made a quick stop at Gigi’s Cupcakes. I love their gluten-free cupcakes though they are not exactly the epitome of a healthy low caloric low sugar snack. However, we eat sweets so far and few between so I can justify an occasional cupcake. (Although it was our second visit in less than a week)
[dinner] Chad had a night assignment to do I was left to fend for myself. It was easy enough to bake up some frozen French bread pizza but I topped it with fresh arugula just to get some greens into my diet for the day.
That’s it from Beetsland– thanks for stopping by!
