Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum Orlando

Share the love :)

Did you know that Madame Tussaud learned to make wax figures in the year 1770, over 2oo years ago in Paris? And in 1835 her first wax exhibit went on permanent display in London? Here we are in 2015 and Orlando has just opened its very own Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum.

The wax museum is one of the three attractions at the I-Drive 360 complex I had an opportunity to visit on opening day. (Read about my experiences at The Orlando Eye here)

Every time I turned a corner I found myself face to face with celebrities like Madonna, Katy Perry and even Elvis.

I helped Walt Disney think up a new dream….

….and I helped Jim Parsons decide how he should spend his summer break from filming The Big Bang Theory.

I had a golfing lesson with Tiger Woods….

….and I got a selfie with Albert Einstein.

Perhaps most importantly, I tried to convince my friend Payton Manning to go back to Indy….

….and I may or may not have flirted with my favorite Jimmy Fallon.

This is only a very small sampling of all the people you will meet walking through Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. I don’t want to give away all the fun and surprise! Some figures are so realistic I felt like at any moment they were going to break out of their wax figurine poses and start talking. Others were good but not super realistic. However, it was a lot of fun snapping pics with some of my favorite movie and sports stars.

So worth a trip if you are easily star struck or one of those people who chase celebrities down the street!

As I was reading about your wax museum trip, I was thinking about, "what if one of these celebrities replaced their wax figurine for a little while?". I had thoughts of someone sitting there posing for a picture, like you did with Jim Parsons, then he puts his hand on your shoulder or something. Personally, I would find it hilarious, and something a few celebrities would probably love to do.
