There’s a handful of retro Pizza Hut Classic restaurants across the United States. You probably remember the checkered tablecloths and red cups, right?
Do you remember the red roof? The red and white checkered tablecloths? The hanging Tiffany lamps? And my favorite – the red cups.
We found a Pizza Hut Classic restaurant about an hour north of Charlotte, North Carolina. It’s been on my bucket list f-o-r-e-v-e-r since I found out they exist.
The location in Albemarle, North Carolina is one of several Pizza Hut Classic restaurants located in 22 states from Wyoming to Wisconsin to Florida and Louisiana. While most modern Pizza Huts are take out only outlets, the Pizza Hut Classic has the old fashioned table service, and in our case, a luncheon buffet.
I’m a big fan of the nostalgic red cups. Reminds me of growing up and eating at Pizza Hut was a regular night out for my family. I even was once a waitress at Pizza Hut for a brief amount of time during a summer break in college. That particular Pizza Hut is since long gone, converted into a Popeye’s Chicken restaurant.
It’s just like I remember, with a jukebox too!
