One of my favorite things about traveling is trying new food. In Park City, Utah, I visited the Wasatch Brew Pub to try their Buffalo Burger and Loaded Mac & Cheese.
Wasatch Brewing has two brew pubs – one in Salt Lake City and the other in Park City. Wasatch was the very first brewery in Utah, a state with very strict liquor laws and in 1988, Park City had its first brew pub with Wasatch. It’s located on Main Street, the main thoroughfare through Park City.
There’s a large selection of beers that rotate on the menu. From the popular Polygamy Porter to the Apricot Hefeweizen to the Black O’ Lantern Pumpkin Stout, each beer is crafted onsite. Your server can recommend a beer pairing with the food you choose off the menu.
I saw lots of great food on the menu but I chose to try the buffalo burger. The meat is spiced in house and served on a bun with Cajun remoulade, iceberg lettuce, and local spiced beehive cheddar cheese. Beehive Cheese is crafted in Utah and is some of the tastiest and creamiest cheese I have ever enjoyed.
The burger was perfectly gamey and juicy. It was just incredibly delicious and highly recommend by me.
If a buffalo burger isn’t your jam, try the Loaded Mac & Cheese with (or without) bacon, jalapenos, bread crumbs, and onion straws. Also highly recommended by Mr. Beet.
Mr. Beet was also a big fan of the Black Bean Veggie Burger with the side of tater tots.
There’s plenty of Vegan, Vegetarian, Paleo, and Gluten-Free options on the menu. Wasatch Brew Pub has a great atmosphere, a very friendly and knowledgeable service staff, and great views of the Wasatch Mountains. An easy 5 out of 5 sprouts.
