Easy, Thick, and Creamy Dairy Free Egg Nog

  • 1 13.5oz. can coconut milk, unsweetened
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk*
  • 4 organic egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teapsoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • nutmeg, for garnish


  1. Add all ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend on high until mixture is blended and frothy.
  3. Add the egg nog to a saucepan on the stove, THEN turn on the stove to medium heat.
  4. Allow the egg nog to slowly heat up, stirring occasionally. Do not allow the egg nog to boil.
  5. After ten minutes, the egg nog will begin to thicken. Remove from the heat.
  6. Allow about ten minutes to cool, then pour the egg nog into a container for the fridge.
  7. Chill the egg nog for a few hours in the fridge, or overnight.
  8. Sprinkle a little nutmeg over the egg nog before serving.

Recipe Notes

*you can use any type of dairy free milk you prefer, just be sure it is unsweetend to reduce the sweetness and caloric intake.
