In just a few short weeks I will be heading to BlogHer ‘17 in Orlando!! And while I do live in Orlando, I will be out of town just prior to the conference so I will have to fly home. I love flying. I always talk and reminisce about my days when I was a Flight Attendant for Delta and I jetted off to countries like Switzerland and Germany.
However, being a Flight Attendant isn’t always so glamorous. Besides living on airport food and working long hours, there was one little thing that I did not enjoy about the job. I suffer from motion sickness – BAD.
I was usually OK when I was working because I was moving around, but sometimes I had to be repositioned in a different city and I would “deadhead” as a passenger on a flight. Once I needed to be flown to Washington D.C. from New York City and it was a very stormy night, most of the flights had been cancelled due to the winds and heavy rain. But lo and behold, Delta staffing had found me the last seat out of New York’s JFK airport so I went rushing down to the gate… and found that the last seat was one of our partner airlines – on a tiny, tiny plane. Anyone who has ever flown on a tiny plane knows how unforgiving a flight can be – you can feel every bump in the road…er…sky.
I climbed into the plane (yes, it was so small you had to climb into the plane) and found my seat. There were about 19 of us on the entire flight, including the two pilots and one Flight Attendant. As the flight progressed, I was getting progressively more nauseated and eventually needed those little airsick bags. So there I was – in my full Flight Attendant uniform, sick as a sick dog while we bounced the skies like a tennis ball playing fetch. If only I had remembered to bring my…
Dramamine® Non-Drowsy Naturals. Now I carry this everywhere. There is a reason why Dramamine® is America’s number one over-the-counter brand for the treatment and prevention of motion sickness. Their latest product is called Dramamine® Non-Drowsy Naturals and it is perfect for those who suffer from motion sickness like me but want to stay alert. Just take it 30 minutes before traveling – one dose contains a fully clinically-tested ginger dosage to prevent and treat the symptoms associated with motion sickness. And since it is made from natural ginger, Dramamine® Non-Drowsy Naturals is safe to use every day you travel. Like me, which was daily.
I have always had problems with motion sickness, even as a young child I would have to ride in the front seat of a car. And sitting on a boat, no matter how large the boat, was not an option without Dramamine®. Even on those giant cruise ships, I need my Dramamine®.
So as I travel to my favorite conference of the year, I am packing my Dramamine® Non-Drowsy Naturals – right next to my lip balm, extra phone chargers, notebook and business cards– all the essentials one needs to have a successful conference.
I am so excited about this year’s BlogHer conference. I intend to sit on the plane and read through all the speaker’s sessions (see, I can read on a plane now and not get sick). I wish I could split into four different people so I don’t miss a thing. I gathered so much information at last year’s conference in Los Angeles and I have made so many amazing changes to my blogging portfolio. I can’t wait to see everybody!
