Friday Favorites 8/15- I Found the Shoes!!

Share the love :)

Ahhhhhhhhhhh….it’s Friday.  I feel like this has been a long week, I have been battling some type of a cold.  Having a cold in the summer is the absolute worst.  Hopefully I will be well rested by tomorrow morning- it will be a busy weekend.  I’ve got my August 5K followed by a show Chad and I are going to go see at a local church.  I just love local theatre.

Anyway, thank you to Heather from Housewife Glamour for hosting the link up.  I love going over to her site and especially on Fridays when I can click on other bloggers that participate in the link up.  I spend a great deal of my day on Friday getting to know other bloggers, reading their favorites and following new blogs.

So here we go- the five things I have been loving this week:

1.  I found the shoes!!

C. Wonder

A few weeks ago I posted the picture of this dress I recently bought from C. Wonder.  I was on the hunt for the shoes and I finally found them.  I spent hours on the internet trying to find either those shoes or something similar.  It never occurred to me to look at C. Wonder for the exact shoes in the picture- duh!  Lucky for me they were now on clearance.  Now I just need to find a handbag to complete the outfit………(I can hear Chad rolling his eyes now…)

2.  Trader Joe’s Vegetable Masala Burgers

We stocked up on items from the Trader Joe’s brand on a recent trip to the grocer.  These are by far my most favorite veggie burgers to keep on hand at the house.  The Indian spices made these burgers perfect topped with arugula and tomatoes- no ketchup or mustard needed.

3.  My Egg Separator

Isn’t this cute?  I was looking for an excuse to use this cute little gadget recently and I ended up making Roasted Vegetable Egg White Quiche.  I just giggled with every egg I had to separate.

4.  Orlando Food Tours

Widowmaker Prato Orlando Food Tour

This past weekend we signed up for the Orlando Food Tours.  We spent Sunday afternoon touring some of the various restaurants along Park Avenue in Winter Park.  Technically it was a Winter Park food tour.  It was a lot of fun and we got to sample some tasty food and desserts.  Even as an Orlando local I learned a lot of new things about the area.

5. Cheerwine

Cheerwine Sassafrass

I’ve talked about Cheerwine before.  I love the stuff.  I don’t drink soda very often but on a recent trip to South Carolina I saw this spicy cola everywhere.  While on the Orlando Food Tours we visited a candy shop that carries it right here in Central Florida!  It could get dangerous knowing I can find this stuff in my own backyard now.  Oy.

That’s it for me this week.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I am looking forward to reading everyone’s posts today!  Thank you for stopping by Beauty and the Beets.

What are you loving this week?
