Coffee, Doughnuts and Beanballs – Friday Favorites

Who’s ready for the weekend? Time to Woot! Woot! It’s Friday and that means another edition of Friday Favorites.

Let’s jump right in, shall we?

First thing on my favorites list this week was my very very unhealthy (but very very delicious) breakfast. If you follow me on Instagram you probably already saw this.

It says “I will not apologize for eating the entire pint of coffee and doughnut ice cream for breakfast” and three days later I am still not sorry. Well, except for the extra miles I need to run…….This new line of Jack Nicklaus ice cream is INCREDIBLE. This coffee and doughnut flavor has big chunks of cinnamon doughnuts mixed into the coffee-flavored ice cream. The salted caramel toffee and the spiced butter pecan are also amazing. And….the ice cream is regularly $3 a pint at Winn Dixie- I got it on sale for less than $2 a pint!

I didn’t start everyday with ice cream this week. I did start a few days with this Cocoa Mint Mate Tea. Quite delicious even without adding any sugar.

Then there’s the jellybeans I had yesterday (you can just see the bag of them in the picture at the top on the right). I was at a blogger event at Saks Off 5th at the Orlando Premium Outlets near Disney. I was there for a spring fashion preview event and afterwards we were left to roam the store freely. This two-story Saks Off 5th store has over 6700 pairs of womens shoes for sale. But I found something else…….

This purse- MINE. The retail at Saks Off 5th was $240, then I have a 40% off coupon and an additional $20 off coupon. Bloggers should never be allowed to roam freely in a store while armed with a bunch of coupons. That leaves this brand new Dooney and Bourke bag at a price of $120. Who wants to buy this for me. Mom? Dad? Chad? Faithful reader?

I also fell in love with these Pura Vida bracelets I got in the mail. Every bracelet purchased helps to provide full-time jobs for local artisans in Costa Rica. Chad and I also spent a day at Downtown Disney where we climbed 400 feet in the air on the Characters of Flight balloon. It’s very scary, especially on a very windy day like the day we went.

When we got back to the ground we had veggie burgers at Wolfgang Puck’s Cafe. This quinoa and white bean burger was amazing.

Then we hopped on the monorail and traveled over to The Polynesian Resort.

There we scarfed down some Dole Whip. Now you don’t have to go into the Magic Kingdom to get it- there is a snack bar just off the lobby at The Polynesian Resort. Just saying….

We ate some healthy things this week as well. This Brussels sprouts salad is one of my most favorite meals I have ever made.

And we enjoyed some beanballs over avocado pasta. This is a recipe I got from a Vegan cookbook that I am actually going to use in a giveaway very soon. I’ll keep you posted. However, these beanballs were even better than their meat counterparts and ten times more healthy. I’m going to post this recipe soon as well.

So that’s it for the highlights of my week. This weekend Chad and I have a food festival to attend and a new restaurant opening.  PLUS- it’s the week of the Masters Tournament in Augusta, GA so there will be a lot of GOLF on TV in our house this weekend!! (I may need some more Jack Nicklaus ice cream to celebrate, no?)
